God Sent EP - FAQContentWhy give it away? How do I get it What about the cover Art? Why give it away? There doesn't seem to be much point to conventional record labels now a days. In yesteryear they essentially provided financial backing for the recording and distribution of a record. But today, with the advances in computing and recording technology you can produce a very good sounding EP without having to invest too much. In fact, it will probably cost you more in travelling and lost time to broker a deal with a record label for them to fund you than it would just to record yourself. As for the distribution of a record - that's what the Internet is for ;) A new form of record label will hopefully be formed soon whereby it will concentrate on helping bands distribute via the internet and providing a CD-on-demand service, but not really financing the band in any great way. It could also provide the band with a gig-booking facility, but there are already other agencies which concentrate on only that. We can but hope. How do I get itSimply click on the following download links in sequence to download all the tracks: The order seen above is the one which the band feels is the optimal order in which to enjoy the songs - but feel free to burn them in any order you prefer. What about the cover Art?Our friend and mastermind behind most of the BR artwork, Keith 'KingZog' Williams, has provided us with some brilliant and mind-boggling cover art for the CD. Open them in a 'proper' image editing/viewing software (e.g. IrfanView or The Gimp - the latter are both free-as-in-beer, also). Then print them out (you may need to chop the cover up into several smaller images first), cut them out, and insert into a handy jewel case. (Folding instructions can be found by following the link above). |
